A Zombine is a Overwatch soldier infected with a normal Headcrab. They move slightly faster than a normal zombie, and have large claws where their gloves used to be. The headcrabs latched onto Zombines appear to not have as much control over their host, as the unit will continue to send out commands and information, and will attempt to commit suicide should it be given the chance to do so by putting the grenade up to it's own head in order to ensure that the Headcrab dies with it. Due to this process, the Zombine loses it's head.

A 'Zombine' usually appears when a Headcrab Canister bombing goes wrong, thrusting Overwatch Soldiers into the middle of it, or when a part of the city or the whole city itself is overrun by zombies.
